I was excited to return to Westgate but left feeling mixed about my experience. While our room was beautiful and had a fantastic view, the service during check-in was frustrating with a lot of miscommunication. The amenities, particularly the water park, were overcrowded, and I found it challenging to enjoy my stay. Overall, there are great aspects, but some serious improvements are needed, especially regarding pool capacity and overall communication.

Our room was beautiful with a fantastic view, but I noticed some peeling paint. Overall, it felt spacious, yet I would rate it a solid 7 out of 10 due to maintenance issues.
Service
5.0
The check-in process was a nightmare with poor communication; it took multiple calls to sort things out. However, I did find some staff members friendly once we were there. Rating the service would be around a 3.
Location

The resort is placed conveniently between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, which is ideal for exploring both towns. I would give the location an 8.

While the pools and water park are advertised, they were often overcrowded, and unfortunately, the relaxing hot tub left much to be desired. It’s a fun place, but it can’t handle the capacity well, so I'd rate facilities a 5.

My stay at the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort was overall a memorable experience with beautifully spacious accommodations and stunning scenic views of the mountains. The staff provided excellent service, making me feel welcomed throughout my visit. However, I found the dining options a bit limited, and the indoor water park was closed during my stay, which was disappointing. Despite that, I would definitely consider returning due to the great location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

The resort's central location made it easy to access attractions in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, which was a significant advantage.
Dining

While the on-site dining options were decent, I found the selection to be somewhat limited, which left me wanting more.

The amenities were impressive, including the infinity pool and the putt-putt golf course, though I missed the water park.

During my stay, I found several aspects to be quite disappointing. The initial impression of the property was soured by the lack of cleanliness in my unit and the poor condition of the amenities. The area is nice, being centrally located to attractions, but the accommodations did not meet my expectations given the price.

Rooms
5.0
The room was dark and small, lacking basic features such as windows and a decent view. It felt very depressing and didn't live up to the pictures on the website.
Service
5.0
The service varied; while some staff were helpful, my overall experience with customer service was not encouraging. I encountered issues with room location and cleanliness, and it seemed like these complaints weren't taken seriously.
Location
6.0
The location was decent, providing accessibility to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but was marred by ongoing construction nearby, waking us up early every morning.

Facilities

Facilities were lacking; the pools were overcrowded, and there were not enough amenities available to truly enhance the experience.

We had a wonderful family trip with plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, especially the water park. The accommodations were spacious and well-maintained, offering great views. On the downside, the noise from construction and some unexpected disruptions from maintenance staff took away from our experience. Overall, it was a good value for a family getaway.
